About Clinton Township

Clinton Township was incorporated in 1841 from portions of Lebanon Township. The municipality later lost territory when the Town of Clinton, High Bridge and Lebanon Borough were formed. Today, Clinton Township remains a separate municipality adjoining several of those communities.

Postal names can be misleading here: legitimate Clinton Township properties may use Annandale, Clinton or Lebanon mailing addresses. NJTGO uses the physical municipality—not the postal city name—to place businesses and attractions.
